Privacy · Prepare Now
No account. Your work stays with you.
On your phone
Your answers, progress, bookmarks and plan are kept on this phone. Prepare Now has no account and keeps no copy of them.
If your phone backs up its apps to your Google account, Android includes them, so a new phone can bring them back. Downloaded exams are left out and download again.
Usage statistics
To learn which screens and features help, the app sends usage events to Prepare Now’s own analytics server: screens opened, the lessons, practice sets, mocks and subjects you open, buttons tapped (including which answer you pick), sessions finished, errors, the exam and country you chose, and the Play Store link the app was installed from. Each event carries a random ID for this install, the app version, and the phone’s model, Android version, screen size, language and time zone. Never what you type or your name.
The server works out your approximate city from your internet address and does not keep the address. Events are kept for up to two years.
Usage statistics are on from the first launch. Turn them off in Profile, under Usage statistics, and the app sends no more.
Exams, dates and downloads
The app downloads exam content, test dates and test-day guides from Prepare Now’s server. Those requests carry no account, name or ID. Like any website, the server sees your internet address; its logs keep only the network part of it.
Feedback and support
A message you send from Send feedback goes to the Prepare Now team with the app version, phone model, Android version, language, the screen you were on, your exam and a random ID for this install, and an email address only if you add one. We keep it for up to two years, or until you ask us to remove it.
Contact support opens a draft in your own email app. You see everything in it before you send it.
Backups and reminders
Backup files leave the phone only when you choose to share them. Resetting progress keeps a restore point on the phone.
Study reminders are set on the phone itself.
Purchases
Each time it opens, the app asks RevenueCat, under a random purchase ID, whether you have Pro; RevenueCat sees the phone’s model, Android version and internet address.
If you buy Pro, Google Play or the App Store takes the payment; the app never sees your payment details. RevenueCat keeps your purchase history under that ID, never your name, answers or progress.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, removes everything it kept on this phone.
Profile › Delete my data shows the IDs of this install and writes the request to us; we then delete the usage events, feedback and purchase record held under them.
